Description

Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles is a savory and slightly sweet stir-fry dish featuring tender chicken pieces tossed with noodles in a rich garlic soy sauce. It’s a quick and flavorful meal perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 250 g egg noodles
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. In another small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in water and add to the sauce mixture.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add sliced chicken and cook until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add remaining oil. Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  5. Add bell peppers and carrots. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender.
  6. Return the cooked chicken to the pan. Pour in the sauce mixture and cook until it thickens and becomes sticky.
  7. Add the cooked noodles and toss well to coat evenly with the sauce.
  8. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu for variation.
  • Adjust sweetness and saltiness to taste by modifying honey and soy sauce.
  • For extra heat, add chili flakes or sriracha.
  • Best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
